I like to think that an ANTI EU activist would and should do as they see fit if their party leadership is lacking.

Being a member does not require constant ongoing dumb obedience.

Millenium3, I do not know what your gripe with UKIP is, but your constant derision is starting to get on my nerves.

The fact is that UKIP remains the leading force against the EU and is easily the most successful (you find me another anti-EU party that has representation at Westminster and European level). Frankly, all these ideas of an 'anti-EU' alliance that you and others have are nothing more than a pipe dream.

Yes I agree, however there are very real limits on what can be done in UKIP's name without the leaderships approval - as Phoenix appear to be experiencing.

Yes you are right. However I am stuck in no man's land. I have not renewed with UKIP because I am convinced, as I am convinced of anything, that UKIP leadership are not that committed to changing Britain's relationship with the EU - in fact the most reasonable explanation, to me, of their actions is that they have mostly/all become career politicians [like the rest] recognising that there is a good life to be had moaning about the EU, but not taking the necessary actions which give the best chance of change.

Don't worry, I may be dogged, but I am not a complete idiot - I will give up eventually. Unfortunately, for me, I see Britain's submergence into an undemocratic United States of Europe as a real disaster - more for my children than for me - so it might be a while before I let the matter go.

I am open to any other viable suggestions.

M3,an activist is able to carry on with his fight with or without a party to direct him or allow him to do so.

An activist who has been frustrated by the lack of leadership within his party might just as well carry on with his own campaign.

He may be expelled but that would mean little to a determined activist who has recieved nothing in the form of backing, guidence or support from his leadership.

I will be "doing my own thing" beginning,Monday 7 January,2008 at 9am.

I mention ANTI-EU parties but without nameing any of them.

I am free to deliver the truth about the EU,(WITHOUT PARTY GUIDANCE AND TOTALLY UNCENSORED).

In a nutshell,IMHO,UKIP Leadership have let me down but this will not stop me from carrying on the fight which I will do on my own from now on.I will make and deliver my own "hard hitting and to the point" literature to the same 5/600 properties each ten day period. They are about to experience a period of enlightenment that is both factual and true with easy links for them to reference.

This is the way to go if you are serious about utilising the short time we have left to save the country.

2008? BRING IT ON!!

mkpdavies set up the poll originally with all the different 'Yes' options. I simply added 2 extra options ('Not sure' and 'No').

Sorry, I was just getting depressed at the usual lack of action from the British people.

At least the Yanks are having a go back.
