I don't think their dumb just quite deliberately uneducated to the facts of the world and basically brainwashed. What strikes me is so our most politicians.

To anyone unable of critical thinking or in other words incapable of assessing how one action will affect another action and weather the consequences of an action that sounds good would out weigh the potential problems of such an action.

I've just left a new thread about how the monetary system works and it's only recently i've started to understand whats going on. We are quite deliberately
educated in a manor that dose not let us understand how the monetary system works, we are quite deliberately not properly tought how the British parliamentary system works and how it should be respondent to the people
and how if the people make it work it will work.

I keep hearing how education standards are slipping, in the paper today there
was talk of how children should not be given time limits to sit exams etc..
This maybe stupidity on a few peoples part but why are people this stupid being put into positions of such importance.

So no i don't think we're dumb just misinformed and as a rule how can you
come to a valid answer to a problem if you are not given the facts. It's
like asking some one whats half of 4 without them knowing what 2 is.

I think they have been dumbed down and are being kept dumb. The internet is the only danger to changing this, but I don't give it long before that little problem is sorted.

To be honest,over the last year or so I've gradually formed the opinion that the internet has damaged our cause because everyone posts everything,and maybe thats how the Govtrolls and sympathisers always manage to remove or dilute our messages about what is/has taken place in the country.

Lets face it,with no internet,the disgruntled would be meeting up face to face and making their own decisions on what to do,right there and then,instead, they "discuss" everything on the internet,which is very easy to do but not very smart when you think about it though.

We need to regroup and only then can we begin.......................................!

No serious politician would ever post on a forum like this! How can anyone with half a brain think this public forum is a good place to discuss party policy, when the World and his Wife and every Tom, Dick and Harry from God knows where looks at this site! I use the forum as a chat room hobby as do many others I expect. If anyone here wants to get into politics, I suggest they look at the various party's websites and go for the one they like the sound of! For me it's UKIP, the others I'd trust as far as I could throw them!

kernow I was relating to ANTI-EU activists posting stuff on the internet for all to see.

They should be holding meetings,making decisions and gathering support for the cause,not putting it out for general release on the www.

I think the internet helps the cause, actually. It allows those who are unsure to seek out others/information through the web, which they can do from the comfort of their home.

It also allows Eurosceptics to share information more easily. There is a wealth of information I have come across on this forum that I might not otherwise had access to. I think this has allowed me to become more informed.

I also think the internet can be an important campaigning tool. There is no doubt in my mind that the petition against road pricing would not have gathered a record-breaking 1.8 million signatures if it were not for the internet and the No.10 petitions site.
