Nope. Stop the bickering instead.

I found it quite entertaining. Yes for me.

Yes. Removing the 'Step outside' section surely will result in a millennium of epoch shattering peace and the Lion shall lay down with the Lamb.
Since Smidgey obviously has nothing better to do than follow me around the forum and nip at my heels, it would be good to have a back alley where people can have at it without cluttering the serious threads with messages of a purely recreational and entertaining nature. B.

I think many members -including myself- feel they have no other choice than to respond to provocative statements directed against themselves, and of course this often results in some degree of sustained bickering and exchange of insult or even, in some extreme cases, a 'flame war'. I would like to stay above such wasteful encountres, as would most people, but human nature being what it is, this is sometimes difficult even for the most highminded among us. I do have a suggestion for Mr. Butcher. If you do decide to re-activate the 'Step outside section', you could make it visible only to registered user groups. This way, casual observers would not be exposed to our dirty laundry. Best regards, B.

Do you really expect everyone to take your postings as fact without even a little slice of scepticism? But, alas, I am doing it again! On topic, I think the Step Outside Section seemed to work well for a while, but recently it has slipped into the flaming section. Perhaps people might have learned their lesson by now.
