Totally agree!

I sold a motorcycle to a Polish guy the other week (really nice bloke). He said that he will be going back soon and all his Polish friends are thinking the same.

One correction though. They don't build flats anymore. They are apartments!

My aunt works for a major lender. Normally she does 14 mortgages a month. Did one last month!

Now I see that the Government is increasing the amount of deposits that they will safeguard if a bank gets into trouble to £50,000.00.

I wonder if they know something that a lot of us have suspected for some time?

Being, apparently, one of 11 million war babies who have retired or who are about to retire, I would just like to say that I paid off my mortgage years ago and I couldn't give two craps if the housing market falls by 100%, Just like Maggie and Blair - I got mine, Fcuk you.

As long as you didn't 'release' your equity and aren't funding your kids homes or university courses you'll be fine. Just make sure your pension pot isn't in Barratt Homes and Alliance and Leicester, otherwise you'll be on bread and soup for your retirement years.

But my two thirtysomething children will be able to realise the home owning dream, thats far more important to me than the possibility of penury in old age.

Both children are saddled with university top-up loans which the Scots, Welsh and N. Irish students do not have to contend with, the lowering of house prices (in England - I hope they stay high in the "countries" of the UK) will help to level the playing field.

Non of the "British" supporters on this forum seemed to mind that England was getting shafted every whichway, The Union must be saved at all costs, now it's my turn to flip the finger and say tough ****.

The economic crash brings good news for many of us.

Firstly its good to see the ruination of Wimpeys and other quisling scum who have been destroying the countryside in the name of illegal immigration. Fortunately I sold Wimpeys, Barretts and most other builders months ago. Im just left with Persimmon and they are worthless.

I'm getting out of shares altogether and will pay off a mortgage. It's good to see the liberal fatcats squealing.

Already people are looking for scapegoats. The liberal society could soon dissolve in a tidal wave of blood., just as I have predicted for years.

I'll leave the sinking ship as soon as I can. Maybe Guernsey or the Isle of Man where there are no immigrants, no gays, and no feminazis.

So you would be happy to lend how much of your money to a "young professional", lets say a financial services worker, to buy a deprecating house?

Not until I'm happy the market has bottomed out.

Better to buy a house cheaply and let it to the said individual.

As a landlord I'm pleased to report that rents are rising.

Halifax: House prices fell by 2% in June. I expect these monthly falls to increase up until Christmas.

Anyone thinking about buying a house now will wait and this will compound the problem (not a problem in my oppinion). My 30% falls look conservative now.
