Definitely belongs on this thread.
I apologise - it sounded as if you where replying to a post about various anti EU forum.

As I said - sounds like a good idea. If these sites could be merged in some way - would the amount of traffic make debate too unweldy?

Actually that's a good point. Maybe having a private area on the forum where we can put forward our views and vote for policies would be better than having it on the same site, you're right about the traffic. Maybe democracyforum could be the official forum for the party? Or the party could have two sites, one as a main site and the other is just for the forum, with democracyforum redirecting to the party's forum?

The main problem would be finding a host, maybe with all of the programmers/hackers we have in the freedom campaign we could have our own server farm? I could probably contribute a couple of computers to use as servers. Just put Linux or WinNT on them and they'll be fine!

Yes I think there would have be a private area for debate by the 'management' plus as many others that could be handled [keeping it as democratic as possible]. If this site was seen as the 'main' site - would it be possible for the new threads to be displayed on the other sites so that anyone who was interested in the 'big' discussion could log in to be involved?

Cool

You can put links on the other sites to the forum. I like this idea, we need to all be more organised as we have too many small groups trying to do the same thing yet we are duplicating everything. We all put the same info on our websites but if we put everything on one site and all our sites redirected it'll drive all traffic to one site (maybe 2 with the forum as another site).

If you want to do the party, I can help you with promoting it through my communities on other sites (facebook etc).

I would be very interested in their reaction to the idea.

I'll post a link to your thread on the facebook UKIP groups and my SP79Politics group.

If anyone is on facebook (you seriously have to be). Then the link below is to the SP79Politics group

I am something of an infant on the internet - so I will accept that is the way to go.

Cool

Basically I'm just linking to this thread on other sites. Those community sites are read mainly by Yanks, Brits and Canadians so we have a good potential support base.

People such as Alex and Anthony are the best ones to ask about running sites with lots of content.

Ok point 1.

Checked with Anthony - he has no problems with your suggestions.

Steve - we need more people voting on this and on the polls - will your links help to achieve this?
