We have start the fight back and this can only come from an anti EU party. The alternative is not a consideration!

The alternative is already here.

Where would you put the ED's in your classification?

No - I'd like to see all the existing centre right parties, pressure groups and think tanks come together as a single entity, with a strong leadership

........ the last thing we need is yet another party to split the votes even further

but if they won't join forces, which is highly improbable, then a new entity with a credible leader may just attract the disaffected members of the existing parties. I doubt that there are many leaders willing to step aside and give up their insignificant little empires for the greater good.

I agree but I think the strength of anti EU feeling is underestimated from the centre left - which will need to be harnessed to get the job done. It is these who have suffered most from the Polish invasion. See some of Ranters posts.

I see NF as the biggest stumbling block here - his agenda is quite different to UKIP members and most people who are against a United States of Europe. This would not be so bad if UKIP was not seen as THE party which opposses the EU. Lots of talented people join up, make a big effort and realise that the leadership is not supporting their efforts [because they have a different agenda]. Since there is no other party whose primary purpose is to get us out of Europe - these people drift away and are lost to the cause.

If the leaders of these other groups would not step aside they may well be prepared to fight the next GE under a common banner [Rebel Alliance?] with a limited manifesto - NF would not join such an alliance.

I still do not see a new party doing anything but splitting the vote and confusing the voters

We have to take a leaf out of the EU's books as regards amalgamation - they at least are experts in getting disparate groups together

I suggest initially, we:

- identify all leaders/groups of our persuassion

- invite them onto the forum to discuss how we could all better work together to achieve our common aims

That would be a start, to get them talking...
