That wasn't my question - i asked "If all the 'pro-lifers' here only engage in sex when both parties are clear that the intent is to cause new life?"

Note the both parties. So it may be RJT that while you are prepared for pregnancy the other party isn't. Then what?

Then the other party should not be prepared to have sex with me, they should realise that there could be a possiblity of getting pregnant.

So I would say they are simply being iresponsible.

Of course I discuss these things befoe embarking on a sexual realtionship as does anyone with any sense.

This is why the other party should not be prepared to have sex with me unless they feel the same.

Nobody has answered my question. If the fetus is a person, when does it get its 'person-hood' or 'soul'?

At what point during the pregnancy do the combined egg and sperm become a child?

I once read that a woman doesn't actually become pregnant until several hours after the sexual act, usually the next day.

WHat you would term the foetus Feldoon is what I call a child.
A Foetus, when aborted, is often composed of less cells than a bluebottle fly.

It has no judgment, no mental capacity, no active nervous system, no limbs. It is as alive as a fungus or bacterium.

Default Unborn baby

Tito: there was a programme only last week shown by the television channel 'More 4' which showed what an unborn baby (foetus as some call the poor child) looked like after the pregnancy was ended.

This was very obviously a small person - a small baby who had just died as a result of the grotesque 'operation' just performed.

Not at all as you describe things, I have to say.

It is a life from conception. You have existed from conception. That is when things begin. Nothing else begins after that - things merely proceed from conception through pregancy to birth.

I said often.

If we are going to argue about the cut off period for abortion it is a different matter.

Another thing, if they don't want it they will probably go crazy because of it. They might kill it after bith, or neglect it. It would never be brought up and loved properly.

At very best it would be another orphan.
