By all means create more programs of the genre of Dr Who - which are good and have appeal

.............but dumbing down suggests more East enders ***** - no thanks

They need to provide good quality programs, some of which are not available anywhere else, but primarily they need to have a culture change which removes the left wing nutty elitist liberal element

Some of the Beebs output is good but in the pursuit of ratings BBC1 has become the home of the seriously stupid

Any channel that can do an hour long special on Hawkwind still has some merit (last friday BBC4 at 21:00)
