Just wondered amongst the usual remarks and allegations that UKIP (its members, supporters and voters) is merely a group and home for ex-Tories how many of us here are former members of the Conservative party?

I am a former member, mid-2001 to early-2006.

Last act was voting for David Cameron in the 2005 leadership poll before leaving early '06.

What about you?

I was not a member of any party before UKIP.

I am now a member of UKIP and The Car Party, aswell as numerous pressure groups.

Eh, myself, I'm not one to join a political group under the basis that I've yet to see one with enough viewpoints like my own.
