Articles in today's Telegraph on what is claimed to be a cut in the price of British Gas.
I saw something on the television news yesterday evening which said that the average British Gas bill was £320 a year in 2007 and it is now over £7000 (more than any other company). These new proposals from British Gas will reduce the average bill to about £580 a year (perhaps a bit less). This all sounds very much like two steps forward and one step back to me. You can read the articles at:  British Gas starts price war with 17% cut http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.../09/ngas09.xml  Analysis: David Derbyshire on gas prices http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...9/ngas109a.xml |
