Who was the best Labour Prime Minister?
None of them. I am not voting in the above poll. To do so gives some sort of credibility to the motley crew named at the top of this page. |

I can't.
Clement Attlee would be the most likely for me, because he was pro-nuclear and launched the British nuclear deterrent. I think even Lady Thatcher described him in recent years as a patriot. But the fact that the leftist and anti-nuclear campaigner Benn (senior) constantly talks of Attlee leading 'the most successful' Labour Government 'so far' disturbs me. However, he also enthusiastically started the process of (and colluded in) the breaking up of the British Empire. And he nationalised, which was, of course, a mistake. So, without wishing to cause you offence, This England, I cannot vote for any of the people in the above poll. If the question was "Who was the least worst Labour Prime Minister" I might vote. I would just add that Blair is obviously the worst. At least with Wilson he left behind the Open University and Concord. Blair leaves nothing behind except a pack of lies and the dead of Iraq. |

Mr. Smith might have become Labour Prime Minister had he lived (instead of Blair getting the top job) and Mr. Smith was thought to have hoped that Gordon Brown would be his successor at 10 Downing Street. But I have never voted Labour and never would. Labour is part of the problem. |

He was proved right on Nationalisation as we have now seen the results of Privatisation i.e our energy, water and some of our ports are now being re-nationalised except this time by the Russians and French. He brought in Technical Colleges as well I believe which helped the working class learn a trade and of course the NHS. |

Answer: None
The Labour Party is in the Socialist International, a Marxist organisation.

Many Labour Unions even banned non-white membership. Keir Hardy the Labour party founder was anti-immigration and he disliked the word Socialist seeing it as alien. It's a very different party now to how it was to start with. |
