If it hasn't I would welcome one being formed.
Prejudice against Christians is becoming a mainstream issue - highlighted by the courageous British Airways staff member Mrs. Ewedia recently refusing to cover up her necklace which has a tiny Crucifix on it. Every year their is an onslaught against Christmas - usually headed by 'lapsed' Christians of the politically correct mould. It was no different the month before last. Next time, we defenders of Christianity and Christmas need to be ready for them. |

As much as I agree that there shouldn't be prejudice against Christians, there, equally, shouldn't be any prejudice against any religious group and there's a tendency to only care about the labels you're under.
Basically; No to a Christian group. Yes to a Religious Equality group with a Christian voice (along with every other religion which has members on these shores). |

Pershaps while we are waiting to see if a christain group can be set up here if anyone comes across cases of discrimnation agaisnt christians they can post them with contact details so we can make are complaints by e-mail, phone letter. To many times christians are there own worst enemy and sit back doing nothing.
It really is time we rallied and showed people we mean business, christanity is this countrys principal faith and it has been bound into our culture for a long time. We are consitantly shouted down and I am sick of it. |

rjt - It's that reasoning that some people have a dislike towards Christianity.
Evangelism isn't a way for equality/acceptance. Not treating your religion like a big deal unless somebody wishes to stop you engaging in private rituals to which everyone directly involved consents to is more the way to gain it. Setting up a group to trample on everyone who wishes to so much as look down their nose at Christianity is a poor idea. Unless you just wish to gather in a group and villainise those people for the betterment of your ego and have no wish to harm then, then it's all dandy and fine. |

Feldoon! What you are really saying is that it's any religion so long as I agree with it. What this thread is about is having a Christian grouping within UKIP. I would say no to that (big of me, I know, not being a member and all! ) as it would "interfere" with the inclusive nature of a political party. Better to have an organisation affiliated to UKIP, that is one which the party recognises as being of UKIP members/supporters but is independent of the party.
This is so for all other parties. |
