Love. If, in a given population, the single dominant emotion was hate that population is likely to decrease. With Love, it'd be the other way around.

You love too much and you run the risk of a watered-down emotion that you call love which you freely distribute and not knowing hate.

You hate too much and you run the risk of calling some watered-down dislike 'hate' and not knowing love.

'Hate' and 'Love' are opposing and equally strong emotions when labelled correctly. A sufficient amount of both are necessary.
