Default When will Bush's stupidity finally get him fired?!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6332555.stm

So he's hoping to raise the American military budget by $700,000,000,000 and decrease the MediCare one by $66,000,000,000.
No-one with an ounce of humanity in them can allow this.
If it's approved then I will not only have lost my last shred of faith in humanity and human intelligence, but I will also be in fear for the world.
World peace? How long is it going to last with a madman like this at the helm of the greatest superpower on Earth?
My bet? Roughly one seventeenth of Planck's Constant.

Ok, several points:

1) The American people elected him, not you.

2) Given the amount of uncertainty in the world, increasing the military budget is exactly what we should be doing too.

3) The ethos in America is very much one of self-sufficiency - hence private health insurance. I'm sure if the Americans really wanted an NHS equivalent, they'd have one.

Sure, the USA has its problems, but then every other Country does too.

1. And? What is the point of this, well, point? I still have the right to complain.
2. And how did the current amount of uncertainty in the world come about? The USA neglecting to do its duty: either go back to isolation or become a competent global policeman; not be an incompetent one.
3. It is still a pity that George Bush should propose a raise in the military budget by so much and a decrease in MediCare's budget.

4) Don't you think we should sort our own problems out before worrying about what the Americans are doing?

I'll agree with that.
Britain first. The Commonwealth second. Non-Commonwealth foreigners third.

That's my order of priority.

Bush will be removed from office in 2009, when his term is up. The corrupt, weak-willed, infighting congress that ought to have impeached him several times over shows no plan to do so.

The Daily Mirror was spot on when it asked, "How could 59 million people be so stupid?"

The truth is that although a unified, working health care system would be in the best interest of the people (and is commonly desired), it is first a social program that defies pure capitalism and second a resolution that the congress have not been able to agree on, will likely be unable to agree on in five years, and will assuredly construct in a shortsighted and inadequate fashion.

And were the congress to magically enact a working bill with some merit, the idiot-in-chief would likely step in with a veto.

The most major opposition to the budget cuts, which may force a compromise of sorts, will be from powerful lobbying groups such as the AARP.

You know it's bad when the professional lobbyists are the ones with the less reproachable ethics and not the lawmakers.

Prove or concede.

I'm fairly certain it is self-evident how a functional and broad health care system would be in the people's best interest, so I'll leave off at common desire.

But not the one we've got - I'm fairly certain of that.
