Should UKIP bring back Section 28?

Section 28 was an amendment to the United Kingdom's Local Government Act 1986, enacted by the Local Government Act 1988 on 24 May 1988 and repealed on 18 November 2003. The amendment stated that a local authority "shall not intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality" or "promote the teaching in any maintained school of the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretended family relationship.

You would have to be one degenerate pervert to see such a good piece of legislation like Section 28 as bigotry.

What's bigoted about preventing government funded agencies from promoting homosexuality?

Nothing at all but it wont stop people calling you a bigot if you campain for its return.

I would be furious if my son/daughter ( if I had one) was exposed to material that promoted homosexuality as an accepted family model. It is the duty of a school to promote marraige as that used to be one of the foundations of stablity in our society.

So it essentially forces all agencies to denounce homosexuality and the possibility of a homosexual relationship being successful and/or not reprehensible.

Fun. I can see why they likely repealed it.

How is that anything other than bigotry?

So you're going to keep them inside a soundproof room without access to television, Internet, or discussions like these?

I don't see why that is in any way the duty of a school. Schools are to exist for education, not the promotion of sociopolitical ideologies.

Which means, in basic state education, a child is being forced a viewpoint, a conclusion and possibly a motive rather than being taught skills and methodology. Thus letting bigotry run amok.

I agree promoting homosexuality outside of classes that dabble in that field is wrong, but I also state that promoting heterosexuality et al outside of classes that dabble in that field equally wrong.
