In an ideal situation a married Mum and Dad, who couldn't have children of their own, would be my choice!

Other or Combo of above.

Because as far as I'm concerned, if I get pregnant, that kid's going somewhere else and I don't care who the people are, so long as they will a) love it and b) raise it with care.

My advice to you for the sake of the child, don't get pregnant!

Says it all as far as I can see.

You are prepared to allow yourself to get pregnant, for your own sexual pleasure, and then allow someone else to pay for it. that someone being the taxpayer. Just look at the stats for kids taken into care and adopted. you are thinking of condemning a child to a higher chance of unemployment, prison, mental illness and a lower life expectancy, because you cannot or will not close your legs.
I am truly shocked, this scrapes the bottom of the barrel as far as I am concerned.

Considering the precautions I take and the fact that I am far more likely to have an abortion than to actually carry an infant to term, I am not likely to get pregnant/stay pregnant. The above was stated as a hypothetical situation due to the fact that I believe that, so long as a person or people are capable of loving and caring for a child, marital status and sexuality do not matter. The only world in which it would happen would be one where both hormonal and barrier birth control failed and for some reason it was impossible for me to get an abortion. It was not stated as something that is ever likely to happen, so I do not consider it "scraping the bottom of the barrel." I apologise for the misunderstanding. My own wording was unclear and likely caused you distress and concern. Again, I apologise.

I have several genetic disorders that make it exceedingly irresponsible/possibly very difficult for me to have biological children anyway. In some ways, I am thankful, and in others, somewhat disappointed in that aspect of myself.

I don't see how any child I have being raised by people who love and care for it, regardless of marital status, gender or orientation is harmful to them, but rest assured I have no intention of getting pregnant.

I think the circumstances that led to adoption might have some bearing on the choice of who adopted the child.

If I had ever been injured or got ill to the extent that I couldn't have cared for my children, I think the best people to look after them would have been my sister and her husband.
And a fair number of children get brought up by grandparents - my wife and her two sisters were.

Sometimes relatives would be the best choice, but there's no category for that in the poll.

Other than other.

A married mother and father give a child the best possible start in life, anything less/deviant is in my mind a form of abuse.

I voted Mam and Dad but I would prefereably want them to be suttle Prodestant Christian so I know they are being brought up in a good, guided yet not over-religious family.
