US military unveils heat-ray gun

That's what I think, although until it's been fully examined I'm more concerned about the potential for its use in torture.
It leaves no marks as far as we know; who knows which nations (the USA, for example *cough*) could use this secretly but claim openly that they haven't done anything to contravene the numerous international treaties condemning torture?

If this is what I read about before, it's not harmful.

It causes a burning sensation when you're within range of it.

S'why it's a dispersal weapon. Would you WANT to stay near it?

Also; I want one. Now.
