You should take it as a compliment when someone asks you for a link/source. It shows interest and they probably want verification so they can quote a source if they use/quote what you says elsewhere. I provided two links for you only the other day (at your request) without complaining that you could have googled them yourself. Not only did I provide you with links (to constituency maps of EU election boundaries) I never even got a single thank you from you afterwards. You want people to provide you links but won't give any back to support your various claims when someone asks you. I also notice there's rather a lot from you about racial matters - but very little (if anything) against the EU. You have failed to back up claims about Bollywood films depicting British people as "the baddies". You haven't provided me with a single name of a film where this happens. You also have failed to provide me with a link regarding India being anti-British over Suez. Your posts would be more credible if your claims about various matters were backed up with links/source verification. |

Do most of the Commonwealth countries still want to have anything to do with Britain? The historical link is one thing, but Commonwealth countries have their eyes on the future and that future doesn't necessarily involve Britain.
The issue of the Commonwealth was discussed at a Dissident Congress meeting, but no decision was made on whether to abolish or retain it. I myself would like to form economic ties with Russia and Japan. They both have large populations and Russia has plenty of raw materials, and Japan has plenty of technical know-how. |

The speech was reported in only one national newspaper at the time - but it was one of his best (in my view). Mr. Powell said that Japan and the UK had much in common - both were former Imperial powers; both were islands and both were on either side of the euroasian landmass. He said Japan and the UK needed to form an alliance with Russia to provide a balance to the dangers of an EU Superstate and to China and the USA. |

The Japanese have built up the second most powerful economic nation in the world without being part of any Asian continental economic group.
We don't need to be part of any european continental bloc like the EU. If Japan - an island Monarchy - can build themselves up to the level they have reached (without any resources of their own and without selling out to any Asian equivalent of the EU), then so can we. |

I don't like the way the poll is set up since I think we should maximise our trading relationships with all countries and blocs unless there are very good reasons not to do so. Pursuit of a global free trade policy should be an option, which is not really covered by this.
The main principle is that we should try to expand free trade and improve our trading relationships around the world without handing over our government to some supranational authority. |
