As has been said before, we need to go nuclear - we can by Uranium from our friends in Australia, rather than gas from potential enemies in Moscow.

Yep. As Lazyguy said, we're all schoolfriends from Caistor Grammar School in Lincolnshire.
Lazyguy and myself share similar viewpoints on a number of issues while zbrahead often appears to just wander off on a track of his own, such as suggesting a democratic communist nation on a giant submarine (yes, he did suggest it once. Yes, I did tell him that it's not feasible. Yes, it took a long time for him to listen.) and, indeed, democratic communism itself, which though not an oxymoron is still a very difficult thing to achieve. Strangely enough, he holds some faith in human nature while I just think the worst of everyone. This is despite me being possibly the most polite person in the school.
I'm also the one who would make a perfect English teacher.

Echoing Lazyguy again, I have no idea who Feldoon is. I highly doubt he's a student at Caistor Grammar, or at least one whom I know well.

Now can I ask why people keep spelling my name as Akira? It's not Akira; Akira is, I believe, a style of Japanese art in the same general category as anime and manga (or something like that. Something Japanese, anyway).
My user name is Akria, based around a character in a novel I'm attempting to write.

Anyway...

ModernUKIP's suggestion is actually quite good. I can imagine World War III starting by some means such as that, possibly with the People's Republic of China joining ostensibly to protect North Korea, more likely jjst seizing the opportunity to nick some more land from somewhere or other.
As to the second concern of ModernUKIP: we need to be energy-independent...
Anyone know if there are any good energy petitions on the PM's website?

Akria
How DARE you palmer!! you are so dead :P The submarine idea was in respect of the fact that i nvented the idea of democratic communism in the bath ops: [/b]
