Harry speaks sense.
Quote:
Our laws and legislation have made London the leading financial centre in the world. Ever greater regulations would not only slow our economic growth, but would be against the very same principles people like UKIP stand for - freedom from bureaucracy and increasing government interference. You can't have the best of both worlds. |

The problem is since Labour Lite have been in power the gulf between the haves and have nots has grown wider with less social mobility
Completely the opposite to the country under Maggie and yet she is always portrayed as anti the working class The problem is that after Maggie gave people the chances to better themselves a lot forgot their fellows - hardly her fault Even the Victorians had a social conscience as many practised their christianity a bit more with philanthropic gestures If social divisions continue to grow then society will become more unstable |

I do understand the points you are making. People see a handful of people making fortunes and are jealous as they work very hard also and earn much much less.
Problme sarise when some people are not able to reach their potential. WHen they are held back artificially because of background, race, wealth, education etc. So we must make sure these barriers are broken down but not place ceilings on success. I have been quite keen on the idea of a negative income tax as a method to address low income/poverty, with a modified form of tax credits to address other issues such as disability, illness, child support etc. This system could be much more simple to administer and much less expensive than current welfare. |

I do not approve of these young upstarts selling off our country's assets, particularly our utilities which puts us at the mercy of other countries. That is mainly what they got their huge bonuses for. Just like Gordon, selling the family silver.

They are just playing by the rules set down from above. You can't blame them for making hay while the sun shines.
You can blame the government.

I think every body should get a "Basic" income and basic access to healthcare and accomadation then as you earn you can enhance this
Education should be on merit and need whereas now people like Blair who got their further education free have now enacted powers to charge students for further education. He and many politicians are nothing but hypocrites and are ensuring that their children garner even more then anyone else's |
