You cannot have an agnostic christian,
Yes you can.

for the simple reason that Christ's teachings included a belief in a divine entity (God)
Belief =/= Knowledge.

which you need faith for but NOT knowledge
Thank you for doing my work for me.

without this you cannot be a christian
Again, knowledge =/= belief.

You can though agree a man called christ lived 2000 years ago and try to follow some of his teachings but you would not be a christian as his teachings demand faith not knowledge
And agnosticism's a knowledge claim and not a belief claim.

Stop getting the two mixed up.

I needed to go no further than "An atheist, like a Christian, holds that we can know whether or not there is a God." to know he doesn't know enough of what he's saying.

Therefore an agnostic is saying we cannot know
Correct.

and faith alone is not enough
Not necessarily.

Knowledge is the fact of knowing. Agnostics claim is that certain things cannot be known.

I take your point about using it as a differentiator. Perhaps calling it a claim about knowledge would have better expressed the point.

That's what I meant.

"Knowledge claim" in my context is the same as "Claim about knowledge" not "Claim knowledge".

At least there's no confusion now.

Oh no.

For that would imply I knew it was a proverb.
