Margaret Thatcher who took the painful decisons regarding this countrys Economy that nobody else had the guts to do.

I echo Britiannists comments about Enoch Powell, he was a great man but on the Nuclear Issue he was wrong.

How can anyone vote Thatcher, when she helped destroy this country by handing it over to the EU?

Sir Oswald Mosley

This man had a vision too far sighted for his day.

Oh, we won? Did we? It's sometimes hard to tell.
..and I proudly cast my vote for that great visionary-Enoch Powell. Funny to read Sir Elton john, but only Mr. Powell.

Quote:
The present House of Lords is an anachronism. It was originally intended that the House of Lords should broadly represent industry and culture. In early days the Peers owned the land, which was the only industry, and enjoyed exceptional opportunities of education. To-day, Agriculture is not the only industry and many Peers are not even connected with land or industry. Further, none would claim they enjoy a monopoly of culture. Therefore, by abolishing the present House of Lords in favour of an Assembly genuinely representing the industry and culture of the Nation, we restore the original conception of the British Constitution.

Sir Oswald Mosley
Our model is for there to be a Parliament for Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England and for the existing House of Lords to be scrapped and replaced by representatives of all parts of the United Kingdom which would work to scrutinise policy across the Union and minimize differences to keep the Union stable. The current asymmetrical devolution is unstable and is likely to destroy the Union in the medium term – we would not want to see this happen.

If this is an open poll, why are there 70 votes and only 10 member's names?
Who's running this survey, George W. Bush?

The poll was started before the new forum software came in. Most of us voted before that time.
