A question popped into my head whilst reading that...

Why do many people who turn up to anti-globalisation rallies (and throw bricks through McDs' windows) belong to globalisation organisations like Socialist International?

Bono is hypocritical, but at least he recognises that poor people need capitalism not socialism.

Good question.

When I was in school in the 1970s, my teachers, lefties to a man, would preach about one world, how we were inter connected and all that.

Now we really are interconnected, the left doesn't like it. As usual their principles are shown to be false, they simply thought that they would get a socialist world community, not a capitalist one.

During live 8 the other year, bono was in Surrey buying a home for £3 million. Why did he not donate that money to Africa instead of asking others to do his work for him. He doe'snt care about Africa; all the time he does publicity stunts like live 8, the sales of his albums rise, therefore he makes more money. Bono= Hipocrit. Condoms more than money will save Africa.

I don't care what he is, in this instance he is right. Boner is a hypocrite of the highest order. He preaches to us plebs, while doing the opposite himself. He hobknobs with the politicans, accepts their alloclades, while pretending to be crusading for justice.
