Default English Democrats outraged

If you fancy eating a mince pie in England this Christmas Day, you could find yourself in legal hot water.
But nip across the border into Wales or Scotland, and you can tuck into this festive treat to your heart's content.
I expect the EDP to make this priority number 1 now. Much more important than returning self rule from Brussel. Those evil Scots must not be able to have mince pies at the English people expense.

From the BBC piece.

Repeal bills are passed by Parliament every few years, each one getting rid of hundreds of pages of law.
How about one repeal bill getting rid of all Blair's rubbish laws.

no need as under English Law most are not valid anyway, if a newer Law does not specificaly mention it repeals an older Law (and most do not) they are Null and Void, the problem is the "Sheople" just keep on accepting them as valid

I have seen many intemperate comments on this forum regarding the English Democrats' policies of working both for the revival of an English Parliament and this nation's exit from the EU.

But if we reverse the order of these aims, and the English Democrats gave priority to the UK leaving the EU and only then to securing an English Parliament, would that change some UKIP members' views on the English Democrats?

I was proud to stand for UKIP in the May 2006 elections, and UKIP has being the party that has kept alive in politics that noble and most important political ideal, the return of powers and sovereignty from the EU to Parliament and democracy.

But your abusive response, Hartlepool, does no credit to UKIP. If UKIP is serious about winning elections, then you will need to show to the electorate more grown-up and civilised behaviours.

Are there any more - reasoned please- responses from the Forum?

I wish users of the forum - even Hartlepool - a happy New Year, and let's hope that we patriots and democrats, who are against the EU, fight the real enemy in the shape of the EU and the Commission.

It makes more sense that way round, otherwise - if we assume success - you'd have an english parliament that largely rubberstamped brussels legislation.

Having said that, perhaps the problem is that with the sole exception of the english parliament issue, what the ED's want is largely the same as UKIP - this has to be true when you, Andrew, moved from being a UKIP candidate to london area chair for the ED's - the policies can't therefore be too different, can they?

And UKIP have some solution for the English Parliament issue too.

Therefore, I am forced to conclude that the ED's are yet another schism from the cause. Which I guess may be the root of the comments you sometimes recieve.

The anti- eu movement is just littered with tiny parties, pressure groups and one man bands. The europhiles must be laughing their socks off.
