Besides the fact he will be costing a dam site more as he will be mainly under constant protection and his medical treatments will cost us too. We should hang him in public. |

A prison officer who phoned into Talk Sport today gave an interesting insight into how we treat "the most vunerable members of society". He was in charge of Huntley and told of so called Huntley wing.
This consisted of colour tv, playstation, portable games etc. The cell next to him was his gym. His suicide attempts were in his oppinion fake......it is easy to commit suicide inside. My humble oppinion is the prison service turns a blind eye to drugs and encourages all the comforts in order to keep the inmates calm and make their lives easier. I'd have the scum ******* in buckets and living in the sort of cells that were around 200 years ago. I'm sure the army would relish sorting out the odd riot if things got a bit heated. |

There may not be broad approval for some of the suggestions made so far, but the majority may believe that prisoners found guilty of a certain category crimes should not be prevented from committing suicide - may go as far as supporting the means being made permanently available.

So, Kernow, Huntley & the likes are in for at least 40 years which by my maths equals about £1.5million. I can think of much better socially useful ways of spending those sums of money - as I'm sure you can. |

India could do it at a fraction of these costs. We have "outsourced" everything else but havent got the balls to export our criminals. Maybe its because of all the jobs that have been created in the probation service etc.
How long have we got to listen to the failed rants of the bleeding hearts who continue to tell us it's the withdrawl of liberty thats the punishment. It's a bloody holiday in there ! |
