For completeness, what about a 'None of the above' option - it might give us a clue what percentage of us actually vote....

If you care about our party and our nation you will be voting in this election.
If you do not vote you have no right to complain about the party leadership if/when they do something you disagree with.

Agreed. I'm bemused, nonetheless at the viewpoint of all pollsters in this election - it appears that nobody is prepared to concede that some members may be less than impressed by all of the candidates and/or their supporters.

People choose not to vote for a number of reasons, not least because they perceive the choice to be flawed in some way. We may have members who don't want to vote for yet another male leader, for example. Or members who espouse a particular policy which none of our candidates support overtly.

I've already voted BTW - for what I perceive to be the best of a poor choice of ardent politicians (and I use that phrase in a fairly perjorative sense).

I agree with what you say.
If Petrina had stood she certainly would have had my vote but she isnt so I have voted who I feel is the best placed candidate to perform the changes that i feel is needed.

If you vote for Richard you'll get Petrina anyway, as Deputy Leader.

Ahem. The post of Deputy Leader no longer exits under the new constitution, despite what UKIP.ORG says about Mike Nattrass
