Less than a century ago, we had a society that looked down on unmarried mothers, divorce, homosexuality, non-church goes and other misdemeanors to such an extent that people led double lives, lied and deceived. Perhaps the title of this thread applies to the people who point the finger at Muslims doing the same today.
Equating it further, which might be the wrong thing to do, perhaps this is a sign that the Muslim world will degenerate/become enlightened and reach the point where we are sometime this century. Perhaps they'll take longer, because Islam seems to me to be more repressive, or perhaps they'll manage it quicker than we did because, well, they have our fine example to look up to.
