Yay! The Frenchies are now joining in by reprinting the cartoons - specifically to demonstrate to the ME that Europe's freedom of speech will not be dictated to.

Good stuff. If only the Government believed the same...

Nice to see that the Religious Hatred Bill was defeated in the Commons though, even if it was only by 1 vote.

Oh I don't know. We could have had fun with that. For example, getting the koran banned from sale in (or import to) the UK since it tells muslims to go and kill unbelievers:

from the bbc today:-

Quote:
Muhammad cartoon row intensifies

Newspapers across Europe have reprinted caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad to show support for a Danish paper whose cartoons have sparked Muslim outrage. Seven publications in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain all carried some of the drawings.

France Soir and Germany's Die Welt are among the leading papers to reprint the cartoons, which first appeared in Denmark last September.
and the UK papers were....................?????????????????

cowards.

Amen to that. I was expecting to see them in The Times today, no joy.

This must be easy to prove as making an "Incitement to Kill/Murder".

The editor of a French newspaper that printed a cartoon featuring the Prophet Muhammad on its front page has been sacked for offending Muslims.
Perhaps that is why. Dhimitude at it's finest.
