red ensign to disappear?

yet again after being turned down two years ago,The EU Maritime committee want to get rid of our 500+ships red ensign.
Any sailors,fisherman,fish wives,royal navy,merchant navy personnel care to comment?

The EU flag should be burned off the mast if need be. I would rather see no flag than the flag of the enemy.
