:evil: So the bristol old vic is to censure christopher marlowe's 'Tamburlaine the great' written around 400 years ago is to be stopped from burning the koran[see various 26nov papers] on stage,and the character attacking islam is not to be allowed!!
As Marlowe was viewed as a better historical playwright than Will Shakespeare[see in search of shakespeare prof michael wood bbc2] he was also his friend,before his murder in a deptford pub,still standing despite concreting over our green and 'pleasant'land. Will 'The Merchant of Venice'be banned for anti-semitism? 'othello' for showing a negroid muslim as a wife murderer? WHEN WILL SOMEONE STOP THIS LUNACY? We're as 'mad' as hell and can't take it anymore!! |

If plays are to be shown only selectively then it is probably best that no plays are shown both ancient or modern. If we can't have them all then we should have none. We can't have a bit of history, history happened, literature happened, if people don't like it then sod them!
