I agree being talented at soccer isn't quite the same as dying on D-Day, but alcoholism is a disease and he obviously paid the price for it in terms of both ridicule and an untimely death. Maybe a moment of silence is too great a tribute and I'll leave that for others to decide, but "drunk" just seems so harsh. Someone who couldn't give up the bottle even on their second liver had a real problem that it may not be fair for us to judge.

I think he was otherwise a nice guy from what I hear, but a minutes silence? Not from me. Man U fans might want to, but that's up to them.
