Default Warning about possible Influenza pandemic.

Spitting, licking fingers to open bags, discarded chewing gum, sneezing, coughing, going out of the toilet without washing your hands. All spread germs, while in normal times this may be an annoyance and something to tut at no real harm comes of it.

However, if the doctors and scientists are to be believed and there is a pandemic around the corner perhaps it is wise to refrain from any activity which may put ourselves and others at risk of contracting pathogens.

It is said that the time when influenza spreads is well before the affected person starts to feel poorly. Remember that the last pandemic in 1918 was a disease which started in Birds, it did not even need to mutate that much, which is a warning to us all.

It was also known as the blue death because it caused massive internal bleeding, the recent H5N1 is known to cause bleeding under the skin, it was initially misdiagnosed as Ebola or Dengue fever. Remember, many of those who catch it death will come after a few hours when the fight for breath finally stops.

However, don't worry unduly!

A big meteor smashed INTO phpbb_earth once and wiped out a load of life too.

London burned to the ground once, that could happen again.

Quite a lot of people die just driving their cars every day.

Getting out of bed multiplies the chances of you dying infinitely.

I'm not going to worry too much at all.

Because of my cardiac problems I'm a priority case for the bird flu jabs - my GP has written asking if I want it or not.

I'm not too fussed so I'm opening it up for offers:-

Bids please:-

Apparently eating fermented cabbage will stop it. No one who ate sauerkraut was reported as contracting the Spanish 'flu during the outbreak at the end of WWI. However many may choose to die rather than eat sauerkraut every day. New Scientist, this edition, or the last one I forget now.
