Hazel Blears (no longer permanently grinning) has said white people should expect to be stopped by police investigating terror bombings! Apparently she has given instructions to the police NOT to pick up "ethnic" people only. These instructions seem to fly in the face of the Met's desire NOT to upset "little old white ladies"!
Is the country safe with Hazel Blears in charge whilst Charles Clarke slaps on the tanning oil on the beach in Somewhere Resort? :?:  |

Pathetic.
Any one suspected of terrorist actions should be stopped, regardless of colour, ethnicity, race. It's this sort of discrimination that adds thunder to the BNP's argument, and the government are stupid to do this sort of thing. Then, I never have liked Hazel Blears. One time on Question Time she wouldn't stop poking her tounge out at D. Dimbleby! |

Petty, but I think it's London Transport Police who don't want to upset little white old ladies. There is a marked difference. The Met - in the shape of Ian Blair - wouldn't countenance such actions. Shoot, yes, but not stop. You will also notice - unreported in the media - the Met's spectacularly incompetent lack of action after the 7/7/ bombings. Modus operandi is an important source of intelligence in respect of fighting crime; so important that the Met formed a 'method index' many, many years ago which investigating officers could consult in their enquiries. It even embraced tattoos. An effective tool; I used it myself to good effect. In the case of the 7/7 bombers, their MO comprised going onto Underground trains whilst carrying bombs in ruck sacks. Important, but basic, eh? Fast forward two weeks and on the same day of the week, on the same transport system, again carrying rucksacks, four men of similar ethnic appearance and general age, try to do precisely the same thing which caused such outrage only 14 days earlier - my heart f****** bleeds. They couldn't claim lack of personnel either. Police support travelled over 600 miles from various parts of the UK to oversee Gleneagles. Protection of the London travelling public should have been paramount in this crisis. That this incompetence never precipitated the resignation or dismissal of I. Blair, the Government lackey, speaks volumes of the Government's cringe inducing cronyism; had 21/7 resulted in another 50 deaths, the Commissioner would still be in post, Blair T having found excuses for the lumphead (who derides the safety of 'gated communities') to remain.
