Default Big Brother Bear is watching you

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...3/ixworld.html

Quote:
It has been a favourite children's toy for generations, but the teddy bear might never be the same again. Microsoft, the American computer giant, has designed a bear containing microphones, a camera and technology that will allow it to watch a child's every move.

The bear, which the corporation has rather unimaginatively named Teddy, can use face recognition software to watch any child whose image has been programmed INTO phpbb_its computer
Freaky! Still I guess when the kid becomes an adult, he/she won't minfd the government keeping an eye on them either.

I read a short science fiction story a few years ago about this.

Every child was automatically issued with their own personalised 'bear' that was programmed to act as their conscience.

Whenever the child did something that the programmers (ie the state) disaproved of it would pipe up "you mustn't (pick the flowers, shout etc) right from the earliest days.

Consequently, by the time they grew up they were utterly conditioned and simply could not rebel against the government.

It ended up that the only one that could was a child that had its bear taken away and the programming altered slightly. Even then the 'resistance' to the status quo had to wait until the child grew up before they had any chance of using them.

(Incidentally, it backfired, they were all murdered by that child because the bear would never tell him not to kill - hope I haven't spoilt it for anyone).

I'm sure that won't happen here

Oh well... It'll bring a few brand new phrases INTO phpbb_common usage:

"My teddy bear has crashed".
"My teddy bear has a virus".
"My teddy bear refuses to be cute and cuddly until I agree that it can only be cute and cuddly towards the licence holder".

This conditioning or programming of children is actualy going on now and has been for many years,in fact for decades. It is used on children starting at two and a half years of age by certain Religious Zealots. The kids go to classes at this early age and are taught the Religion in fanatical terms. The children know nothing more than they are programmed to know. This forced feeding of religion to the children can and does breed outright intollerance and contempt for all other religions. These children have only one impression about other religions and are, after "graduating"imposible to negotiate with on the suject of any other religion. Truly, the phrase of brainwashing can not be used because their brains have known nothing else but the Religion they have had crammed INTO phpbb_their tiny minds. So sad.

Don't have to look far, it is happening in Britain in many different ways. Enforced religious intolerance with the Muslims and enforced subservience by the liberal teachers toward the British children.
