What is this bo&*(£?

Trying to build this big rosy picture of a happy clappy Europe, just in time for the referendum!

I am sending pictures of the Balkan crisis, Swastickers, prison bars, political elites lording it over the plebs, red tape, pinocchio , burning lambs and various demonstrations against the EU.

I wonder how many will get put on the site?

The write up will say;

"Standing on the famous White Cliffs, Europe is beyond the sea, how great it is to be in Britain"

hold on.... I thought UKIP was pro europe anti-EU?

in the text it say
'From the west of Ireland to Russia, from northern Norway to Malta - there are many images to define Europe in the 21st Century.'

Are russia and norway EU members? is it about the EU at all?

Under normal circumstances I would agree.

However, trying to create a false sense of Euro pride just in time for the referendum smells fishy to me. As our fish have long been sucked out of the sea, it must be the BBC up to their tricks!

Wouldn't be surprised if it's linked to funds from the EU to the BBC to promote "Europe". (There was a good article in Eurofacts a few months ago about EU funding direct to TV companies and film-makers in return for pro-EU spin.)

Seriously, why now for a how wonderful it is to be a European photo call? Does anyone really think of themselves as being European? Why not go the whole hog and have and Earthings pride day, or how about a we love the Milky Way day?

Silly of course, just like this fake attempt at creating something that is not there!

People..... Believe it or not Britain is in Europe.

I guess being welsh I'm in quite a unique position in that I'm welsh, which is in Britain, which is in Europe (and yes MKP... that's in the world)
I'm Welsh, British, European & Earthling.

I guess we all have our own reason for being anti-EU but I think mine are obviously very different to most on this board..... I dont hate all things Europe for fear of loosing all things English... I dont blame todays germans for the sins of their grandfathers, etc etc.

There is some real beauty in Europe; St. petersburg in winter is a must and I think the Roman ruins scattered around modern Rome have to be seen sometime before you die.

If you people honestly want to believe that the EU is paying the BBC to promote a pro-european bias on a hardly viewed corner of their website then it's your life but lets keep the facts seperate from fiction.

Look Doc. Put your cards on the table.

You want the Euro. You want to change to metric even if there is no real benfit in doing so. You don't find it the slightest bit suspicious that an organisation that has been VERY biased towards the Pro-EU cause. You think banning everything you don't agree with is right, as long as you don't agree with it. You jumped ship to Veritas as soon as you could.

Why don't you just admit that you hate EVERYTHING UKIP stands for. Why this pretence that you ever really gave a toss about UKIP's values?

No-one here is arguing that other European countries are not nice, I have travelled most of them and I love the individuality of each of them. What is European Culture? There is no such thing, it is artificial. Just like the EU.

Celebrate German Culture, French Culture, Spanish Culture, Italian Culture. There is no such thing as European culture! It is a fraud!

Doc - The EU is deliberately trying to make European Union equals Europe, and European culture equals life within the EU.

I have high regard for Europe and European culture, but utter contempt for the EU, and in particular its use of deception as a deliberate strategy for taking ever greater power.

If you want a copy of the information in Eurofacts about EU commission payments (bribes) to media companies I can dig it out and send it to you.
