Default Wiping out all thoughts of independence and self-sufficiency

"Political Correctness" is the name given to a set of political policies which are are constantly changing, and what is "politically correct" in 2005 may no longer be "politically correct" in 2006.

People become aware of "Political Correctness" when they or someone else fall victim to it.

Political Correctness is intellectual dishonesty.
PC is an attack on free speech, clear thinking and discussion.
As George Orwell knew only too well - if you can control a person's language you can control how he thinks. Limit his language and you limit his thinking.

The entire point and purpose of the politically correct campaign is to demoralise, to render uncertain, to produce bewilderment in place of pride, to sap confidence and to wipe out all thoughts of independence and self-sufficiency.

"Political Correctness" struck a chord with the Catholics. The Catholic Church had for centuries shown a very tolerant attitude to sin. It was almost as though when you went to confession you had to have some sort of sin to confess. And if you hadn't committed any sins that week, you would have to go out and commit one so as to have something to report. As a Catholic you had the feeling that there was something wrong with you if you weren't an alcoholic, drug addict or sexual deviate
Forgive me - I haven't sinned.

Would you like a black coffee? NO! You can't say that! It's coffee without milk and Local Authorities spend a fortune of our money on making their employees attend courses on Newspeak!
So - when you get your new EU designed registration document in the space for "Colour of Vehicle" (if your vehicle is black) put in "Without milk".

The Metropolitan Police will no longer describe black people as black, it has been revealed, and in future both black and Asian people will be referred to as "visible minority ethnics". This will replace the previously used term "black ethnic minority" and more recently used term "black minority ethnic".
There are no records of invisible ethnic minorities.

I recently went to register the birth of my son who was born in a London hospital. When I said to the Registrar 'My son's Christian name is . . .' I was firmly told that 'Christian' was not a politically correct term. I should not have used it apparently as (they said) it gives offence to ethnic minorities.
So what do we call the Christian religion now?

My mother has recently had a blood test at the North Hampshire Hospital and was told to expect a little scratch. When asked what they meant she was told that they are no longer allowed to say 'small prick'!
Henceforth I may refer to Blair as a "Dimensionally challenged scratch"

We have been told to tell the students we are not having toilet or food breaks, but we now have comfort breaks. It's getting beyond a joke.
At least I can still take a fag-break.

A lawyer was being interviewed and said that it will soon be illegal for companies to advertise for experienced staff on the basis that this discriminated against those with no experience.
That would open up up my job prospects.

When teaching in the Home Counties as a supply teacher from Australia I was told not to mark the children's work with a red pen. When I asked why, I was told, "It is considered too aggressive. I've left a purple one for you."
No doubt for normal writing they use pens without milk.

"With immediate effect this term will no longer be used, Chief Inspector Jeff McMahon said. The new term is `partnership.' In all written and verbal communication this should be substituted where the term township would currently be used. The term partnership suggests the notion of working together to fight crime and protect people.
Nope - the trem 'partnership' suggests a .. er .. partnership, not a township.

Officials in the Lake District have backed off plans to scrap free tours of the countryside after word leaked that they were going to do so because the tours appealed primarily to white folks.
No doubt tanning salons may be forced to close for the same reason?

Okay, enough. I am getting bored with this.
It is no longer funny.

I'm going to make myself a without-milk coffee, fill my favourite pipe with a without-milk shag ... sorry, fill it with a without-milk interpersonal-physical-relationship and listen to the radio for a while ...
