Euroburks at the round table

Can anyone tell me how these EU directives come about?
I imagine a secret locked room buried deep in the EU parliament building where a panel of non-English speaking euroburks sit round a large table (nothing like King Arthur's) full-time, on grossly inflated salaries, thinking up new ways and means of trying to destroy our way of life.

I clearly recall some years ago at one stage of the negotiations to join, a tory MP (cannot remember who it was) stated that Europe would poke its finger INTO phpbb_every nook and cranny of our lives. HOW RIGHT HE WAS.

The sooner we get away from this monster, the better.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Ummm.... actually it's specalist panels that MEPs can sign up too.... I believe we even have some say making sure the fridge is cleaned in the womens panel!

- Ironic really that the more active our MEPs are, the more time they spend in Brussels the more we can change the system!

Even if every single MEP from Britain was from UKIP, they would still be in the minority against the other 25 countries taking part. A small voice that can be crushed at any time for the benfit of the EU rather than Britian.

No thanks, we can make our own laws and regulations, without having to go bashing our heads against this EU wall. The only reason we have UKIP MEPS is to get insider knowledge on what is going on, so that we can point out the folly of it all.

The fact we take adavantage of the outrageous amounts of money thrown at MEP's to make sure they promote the EU at every opportunity, is just compensation as far as I am concerned.

What is the EU spending over 1% of its budget on, a massive increase from last year? Yes, it's publicity, in other words using our money to tell us how wonderful they are.

The East Anglia Regional Assembly, an EU body, has voted to concrete over its area with half a million new homes. And who voted for the EARA? No-one.

Another great E.U. achievement; penalty points incurred by British drivers abroad will now be added to those enforced by the speed-camera-mad police at home. Oh joy.

If this government is elected again I am seriously considering committing suicide.

Joking aside!

We need all the people we can get, no taking the easy route out please! I can sense a real change in the making. The NE vote on regional assemblies showed that even with masses of money and campaigning by our corrupt government, that people are beginning to see through it all.

What we have to be very warey of is them trying to squeese us INTO phpbb_the EU back the back door, as has been the case so far. This will be very hard to do now, as there is an army of us watching their every move. The EU is trying to grow INTO phpbb_the intended superstate too quickly now! Sooner or later it will implode.

Britain will vote no for a constitution and it will vote no (except doc_cruel) for the Euro. We will have to see what devious methods Blair and his ilk have to try and get around this!

I suspect the method is already implemented.

In the unlikely event we fail, and there is no referendum until 2006 there may be no turning back.

The U.K by then, at the rate it is divesting itself of its assets, may well be dependent upon the E.U. for its survival. Even if its isn't, it is probable that the spin machine will persuade folks it is.

I could be mistaken ... whether I am or not, we need to make the E.U. a priority election issue and we need to get the population informed if we are to have any measure of success.
