Apart from some unconditional love, I fail to see how we are in disagreement.
Well, I hear - and understand better where you're coming from - but I would like to see some of that power restored (as I 'm sure you derived). I guess that was part of the reason that I stuck to UKIP so closely, and yes, I have an "instilled" affection for our Royal family and it's place in our country, inherited, if you will. I see no reason to change it.

For my money, let's try a few years of absolute rule from Buck House, chuck the politician trash on the dole - except for 111 of them - who can act as the New Privy Council.

Oh, and can we bring the 'stocks' back? And open up the Tower "for business"?

Not necessarily. There are several constitutional monarchies (like the UK) in the EU; The Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Spain and Sweden, then there's Liechtenstein, Norway, etc. - in none of these countries does the reigning monarch have absolute rule.

Queen Elizabeth II is still my Head of State, and parliament still answers to her - constituionally. While this may not appear to happen, it is still laid down in the British (unwritten) constitution, and while pro-EU Quisling filth are trying to undermine and subvert this - via High Treason - many decent loyal patriots are trying to prevent it.

Nope. I was just pointing out that she is either powerless and simply playing along for her own family's benefit, or, perhaps, has unofficial power over a certain Prime Minister.

You just said you want some of that authoritarian Royal elitist power restored.

Why are you asking me? My opinion is null and void.

I shouldn't thinkthe Queen is too bothered about a mass murderer not paying tribute to her. It would be a bit like getting a tribute from Dr.Shipman and he wasn't responsible for half number of murders McGuinness is.

Well, I don't think either is the case.

Yes, well read, I did. Re-read perhaps?

Ah, bless. Well, it was attempt at subject-related humour, which I can now see was a mistake. Won't happen again.

Both are just as dangerous as each other without a clear constitution that cannot be torn up.

Also remember that she is the Queen of Canada as well, along with being the Queen of Australia and New Zealand. She has a duty, and she fulfils that duty superbly!
Please forgive me. I'm still learning to be political.

September 2015 and she'll overtake Victoria as the longest reigning monarch. Should be a doddle her. After all, she won't even be 90 by then. If she has anything of her mother's genes she'll set a record impossible to beat.
