How do I join social groups?

Isn't there a button you click on that says 'join'?

Go to Social Groups. Click on the "Click here" link under the title of the group you want to join. Then when it opens you'll see all the members of the group and in the upper right corner of the screen a link that says "join group". Click that and follow instructions for permission to join. It's like a friends request. You ask, then wait for confirmation when a mod (or poster) denies or accepts your request.

Find a social group that you would like to be a part of. Co-workers, fellow religious group members and fellow students are great choices. If a social group forum receives no posts for 6 weeks, it will be closed. Open forums will have their posts transferred to a General forum thread. Private forums will be set as invisible.
