CB100
Yes CB100 I read the link and the work will still be substantially assembly work. I do not call assembling component parts imported from Nissan in Japan, a British manufacturing company.
It is not the manufacturing that actually creates the most jobs, it is the supply chain which can add ten fold to the number of people employed in making the product.
30 years ago I argued with my Conservative MP that we should ban Japanese cars totally from Britain. He replied most strongly about how free markets helped everyone and maximised employment. 30 years ago my local MP persuaded me that free markets were good for Britain's manufacturing industry.
30 years ago British Motor Corporation (BMC) made a third of the cars sold in Britain. BMC was also the biggest exported in Britain. A million people worked for BMC and in its enormous supply chain. BMC has now gone and I now realise that my local Conservative MP was talking out of the top of his head.
Since that day I have never belived a single word uttered by any Conservative MP.
CB100
I do not believe that assembling parts made in Japan creates any CO2. Nissan is really just and import business flooding Britain with cheap Japanese cars, and pushing British workers out of their jobs here in Britian. All the real manufactuing word and the massive supply chain are both in Japan.

The CIB is leading a campaign to stop a memorial floor plaque to Edward Heath, being placed in Westminster Abbey.
Edward Heath betrayed the people of Britain, by his deceit in taking us into the EU Common Market in 1972.
Help to prevent Westminster Abbey from being sullied by a memorial plaque to Edward Heath.

Campaign for an Independent Britain
We are a cross-party campaigning organisation who believe that continued membership of the European Union poses grave threats to Britain’s liberties, independence and economic prosperity.
We seek the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union and for the undemocratic, obsolete and fraud-ridden EU to be superseded by modern, democratic structures that enable the peoples of Europe to co-operate without loss of any nation’s freedoms and way of life.

Why We Should Leave the EU
It is not just about the Euro. Or the fact we're having to bailout a currency we chose not to join. It is not the Euro sclerosis - the fact that the trade block we joined in the early 1970s which then accounted for 36 percent of world GDP, will account for less than 15 percent in 2020.
It is not even really about the anti-democratic nature of having decisions made for you in Brussels. Today, for example, we learn that unelected and unaccountable Eurocrats want to prevent us from asking if those claiming benefits in Britain are entitled to them.
No. The reason we need to quit the EU is even more elemental than all that.
Put simply, Europe cannot best be organised by deliberate design. From the Common Fisheries Policy to the common currency, being part of the EU means trying to do things according to some kind of "blue print" determined by a Brussels elite.
It makes things more or less bound to go wrong. Indeed, the more insulated from public accountability the Euro System has become, the more inept it is.

The EU Single Market Treaty was designed to suit German industry.
This has led to huge trade surpluses for Germany, while conversely Britain, Spain and Greece have suffered from massive trade deficits.
The Single Market Treaty has created vast trade imbalances between EU member states, and consequently destroyed the industrial base in many of the less efficient EU countries.
The current problems with the euro currency are just symptoms of this much larger problem created by the EU Single Market Treaty.
Even when the current euro currency problems are sorted out, the enormous trade deficits suffered by countries like Britian, Spain and Greece are just not sustainable.
So in the long term the economic problems of Europe will continue because of the damaging effects of the EU Single Market Treaty.
Britian needs a cross party campaign to free Britain from the evil chutches of the European Union, so that we can rebuild our manufacturing base and start paying down the enormous debts that Britain has accumulated since we joined the EU Common Market in 1972.

Abu Qatada gets 21 million pounds in Legal Aid
The legal aid bill for Abu Qatada has now reached 21 million pounds according to the BBC text pages today.
Every time we have tried to deport him, Europe steps in to stop us. This legal struggle has been going on for 11 years.
The Euroean Court of Human Rights (ECHR) makes governing Britain almost impossible with their constant interventions and overruling of the British Parliament.
The Daily Mail website carries a big story today telling us that net immigration into Britain is running at 252,000. This is much higher than when New Labour was in power, even though David Cameron was elected on the promise to reduce immigration.
Net immigration is at 252,000
Gross immigration is running at 590,000. This is about average for Britain. This level of immigration has been normal for Britain since we opened our borders to the ten new EU countries in 2004.

The three major parties in Britain have been shown to be incapable of controlling immigraton into Britain, because EU immigration laws override the laws made by the British parliament. Britain needs a cross party campaign against the EU to regain control of our borders and control immigration.
