Default Foreign rioters will be deported

I don’t usually read this section because it is too depressing, so I thought I’d add a bit of optimism for once, as this seems to be in short supply when it comes to immigration.

Damian Green, the immigration minister, said: "We strongly believe that foreign national lawbreakers should be removed from the UK at the earliest opportunity.

What genius. Just deport the problem and stick two fingers up at the EU and Council of Europe $hits.

We could be in luck though because the number of prison places is running out. You know how the Tories are when it comes to expenses. This is a cheap 'business solution'.

By the way, just as an aside to all of this, it does seem to me that some shops were asking for it. This one is obviously trying to appeal to asylum seekers. Notice all three models in the window are black. I suppose with the amount of compensation they win in the human rights courts there is big money to be made out of them. Well that is if they decide to shop according to the law!

One must assume that any immigrant who is here legally has, as far as the government is concerened, good reason to be here. That being the case I cant see the European court of human rights allowing the government to deport anyone, however deserving the case.
It is not racist to be concerned about immigration.

Well the government were saying the other day they have found ways to deal with that. They were saying something like its laws were 'advisory' and that the government had sovereignty or something like that. Mind you, the trouble is that the officials in the immigration 'service' seem to be immigrants themselves and even some of the judges. Anyway, its governments like the one we have now that are to blame for this slap-dash approach to the immigration problem so they will have to sort it out. They have taken the first step though and declared they will be deported. Without the first step they would get nowhere. The euro-dictators are in no position to tell us what we should do. I can see there might be a bit of a fight developing, but the good news is that now the government have a strong political case, and in times like these one must take advantage of it. It’s now or never. What could the Guardian say about that?

Surely it depends whether people are immigrants who choose to leave their homelands or asylum seekers where fear drives them out?

In the former case, there should be no problem, in the latter case it could be more difficult. Then there's always the length of time people have been resident to take into account: months shouldn't mitigate against deportation, but a defence would be easier if it was years and roots have been put down.

Is this along with the Somalian rapists and various other offenders like paedophiles etc.etc?
What a load of bloody cobblers. We can't even deport foreign murderers and they expect us to believe this load of rubbish?

Do leave off. Deported my arsé. All this means is more money for the lawyers. The rioters will still be here to draw their pensions.

I entirely agree with the sentiment but unfortunately if an individual after being told he is to be deported appeals to the ECHR who decide the government may not deport him I'd be willing to place a bet on Cameron backing down.
