I can't see a reason why Scotland should enter this thread. However, I believe your question could be put into a new thread RTL. I merely say this in the interests of keeping England to the fore and without comparing it to Scotland on this thread.
I am not that well up on pre devolution Scotland but I do seem to remember that when ever I was there, either holiday or working, the SNP had a prominent place in the culture at that time. ONE party in the forefront OK there may have been smaller ones around I do not know, but it was one party that carried the Scottish parliament not some ramshackle bunch of half committed self proclaimed nationalists, it was a strong party driving for a common goal something England very sadly lacks at this time.
Sorry Hartlepool, but Scotland should be in this thread in my opinion, because if we run our campaign along side even co- operating with the Scots the referendum ceases to be on Scotland's or England's independence but on the independence of by far the largest part of the UK. It becomes a referendum on the UK itself and all that involves, a far far bigger proposition than it seems at first sight.
