I hav to say you're right about the garden.

"Bronze"? is that the same as "C" band? ABC Bands here.

Yeah, I know about those fake meetings where they pretend to consult the Public, the tenants, they already made up their mind befor they consult any of us, it's just socialists pretending they listen to the people, a sham, a public information act and they know that the people will never been organised enough to put up any real opposition.

When I was younger I was lucky enough to stay at a place with a garden (despite the strings attached) and spent many a day lying on the wet grass watching my rabbit (when he was alive) running laps around me and sitting on my chest staring into my eyes. It was heaven.

No, it died naturally and I buried it in a respectful way as it was the only one who would bother to listen to me.
Wish I could eat you though, I think that might be nice.

Become a Somali and you will get a newly built accommodation in a prime location in London.

No, I'm on my own, "we" refers to the other tenants in my position who went to view the properties, there always other people, other applicants on the viewing with you.

I think you've been watching too much James Bond. I would imagine that trips to Cuba to go "DNA swapping" would be out of most peoples reach, if they want social housing.

When I have been dragged (kicking and screaming) around Ikea, I have always been very impressed by their "show rooms/appartments" which I seem to recall are based on 50m2 and 100m2. With a bit of thought, they managed to get everything in. While it might be cramped, wouldn't it be better to be cramped rather than have nothing at all?

No one is forcing you to live in any particular house. My first flat had a kitchen that was too small to put a washing machine, but I was delighted with it anyway, as I had a sense of freedom that I had my own place, I could get up any time I wanted to, watch whatever I wanted to on the TV and have whoever I wanted to around. As I got older though I acquired more wealth and so I moved out into successively nicer properties, and I have landed in one now that is the perfect size. Actually there is such a thing as a house that is too big as well, and I have known some to live in one like that. You end up spending so much time keeping it going that it takes over your life, but mine is just right. In Britain there is a place that is just right for everyone, (except those that should not be here) and so really what the hell is the problem? If you don't like it then move!

Cheap new builds leave a lot to be desired and agree there should be new legislation brought in to put a stop to greedy developers building tiny properties.

Impractical buildings, homes: I’ve been to flats where the kitchen didn't have room for a washing machine only a tower fridge-freezer, another place that was the exact opposite, a place for a washing machine but not big enough for a fridge or a freezer.
If short on space the thing to do is go up, an fridge can be fitted above a washing machine, both integrated behind doors. I planned my own kitchen and it really is easy, careful measurements, common sense and a bit of imagination is all it takes.

There are massive psychological problems to having small rooms/houses; Small homes/houses/rooms take away the joy of life.
This I totally agree with, to live somewhere with low ceilings, small rooms and windows (cheap modern builds) can be quite oppressive. I've also seen some horrendous flat conversions on houses and often wondered if the architects were qualified, I could have done a better job myself. But with everything there are always options, if somebody finds themselves living in such a place - MOVE.

How can I move, I liv in social-housing? In order to move for social-housing tenants you hav to hav things like mor children, be attacked by your partner, be attacked by your neighbours or be a victim of harassment, become disabled, become old enough for old people's housing, hav your house demolished, hav you house burnt down, you can't just move. you ar allocated a place and that's it. I think you should come see some the places i hav seen recently, you would be shocked, they ar ridiculous, they too small.

I think you moved into your first place and loved it when you wer young, anything to a young person seems great to escape your parents and hav a parent-free zone and the thrill of having your own place, it' brilliant. but why has every other country in the EU hav legally-set minimum room sizes if this regulations are not needed? Most people can't just move!
