I'm surprised UKIP didn't do better. I know they increased their vote but 5.8% is disappointing, what sort of a wake up call do people need?

Maybe it's got to get like Tunisia before that happens!

Most are sheep, but some seem a little worried.

I expect the 10% who voted UKIP & BNP in May to decide this, though on current polls Labour will sadly win.

Now if only we had AV then those of us who in their hearts support UKIP could give Paul Nuttall their First Preference and Kashif Ali our second.

I believe UKIP's Paul Nuttall MEP, has also thrown his hat into the ring?

UKIP is fielding its strongest candidate, a North West MEP. He will get a lot of votes from Tories who are disgusted by Cameron's reneging on his promise of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

Labour will win, easily, whilst UKIP will fighten the Cameroons.

I think the Oldham & Saddleworth result just proves we need AV more than ever,. if we had had AV we had a chance.

Look guys, you all expect too much.

Labour have been giving other people's money to a huge chunk of people for decades now. The Tories and Lib Dems have also shown they will do the same. They have the media almost 100% on side. Tribal loyalty and big business to keep happy for the money they have given them too.

Why do you think something as puny as issues will make any damned difference?

Interesting article claire stone, shame they didn't have the BNP expenditure as well it would have made inrteresting reading. You shouldn't be allowed to buy elections we've got to have new Laws!
