I realise this thread will probably create little interest for the majority but I'm sure a few of you must like the Ealing classics...he said hopefully. Actors such as Alec Guinness, Stanley Holloway and Cecil Parker are among some of my all time favorites. People sometimes ask which is my favorite Ealing film but It's impossible to have just one favorite. I think Kind Hearts and Coronets is probably one of the best Ealing films but I'm always torn between The Titfield Thunderbolt and The Lavender Hill Mob, I absolutely love these films. It must be said I'm not just a fan of Ealing films, I like many old films from the 1930's to the 1960's but my collection hasn't got much after that. Unlike Mrs Rackham who has a DVD case full of modern Hollywood "movies" which are on occasion wachable but I find the vast majority are very forgettable. For me Stanley Holloway beats Bruce Willis every time.
