Default The Liberal Party has two new council seats.

The Liberal Party has two new council seats.

Cllr John Savage, who was elected as a Conservative councillor for both North Yorkshire County Council and Harrogate Borough Council, has joined the Liberal Party.

Good luck to him. I see there is now a write-up on the Liberal Party website:

A Liberal returns home - Cllr John Savage

As the article points out, this means the Liberals now have an official group (even if only two-strong!) on North Yorkshire County Council.

I very much hope the 'coalition' will result in a great increase in support for the Liberal Party if those concerned won't support UKIP. This seems early evidence of that so well done Mr Savage.

There is also a patriotic and Liberal alternative in the National Liberal party

Keep plugging at it, you never know you may convince the odd one or two.
Is Pat Harrington still sharing his time between the NLP/TW and Nick Griffin?

Pat's employment is up to him and I dont think it breaks the law or NLP rules.
Regarding recruitment, we have managed to pick up more than the odd one or two lately, maybe even one from your own party.

So Pat Harrington is still sharing his time between the NLP/TW and Nick Griffin!

Is that a definite maybe a maybe maybe or an 'I don't know but it sounds good', maybe?

Don't know about 3W (even less about Griffin) but I do know he has no official position or influence in the NLP. I think Stone de Croze meant that parties (all?) don't concern themselves with a members personal contacts or who they work for etc.

That's correct. Imagine if every party was to look into their members friends and employment and make a judgement on that. What next? Hack their phones?

You say that, but the former BNP webmaster Simon Bennett claimed on this forum that until recently the NLP and Third Way websites were both hosted by him on the same server as the BNP website. Surely that suggests a pretty close connection between National Liberal Party and the BNP at an institutional level, and not merely a single individual who happens to have a job working for the BNP?

Why not come clean? The NLP isn't a real party at all, far less a liberal one. It is simply a rather inactive front organisation that the BNP maintains for certain public relations purposes.
