EU Local Council Procurement Directives mean that all council contracts have to be put out to an EU wide tendering process. This is required whether it be for road maintenance or for new desks. This is a very slow and costly process, and it also makes it illegal for councils to support local busineses.

What you have to be careful of is like Mussollini, when you build your own city, you are not then working for the people of the countries, you are working for your own city, the countries become ostracized and the union is working for itself
