    Default OK a music thread...

A short conversation I had with Consider Dudley earlier reminded me of a list I compliled a few months ago of my fave tracks, in fact I add a track every couple of weeks or so. Since it's quiet I thought I'd share the list with you. It's not intended to be a definitive list of the greatest tracks in history, just a few of my faves.

This ladies & gents is my all stars line up, boy what a show this would be...

    Crowded House………….Don’t dream it’s over.
    Boz Skaggs………………Sierra
    Pink Floyd……………….Us & Them
    Mental as Anything……...Live it up
    Gerry Raferty……………Baker Street
    Robert Miles…………….Children
    Pink Floyd……………….Wish you were here
The Rolling Stones………(I cant get no) Satisfaction
    Jimi Hendix………………All along the watchtower
The Beatles………………While my guitar gently weeps
Funk Fusion ……………. Can you feel it
Blue Oyster Cult…………Don’t fear the reaper
    Lynard Skynard………….Freebird
    Willie Nelson……………Always on my mind
    Jimmy Nail………………Ain’t no doubt
    The Wilburys...........She's my baby
    Alice Cooper……………. Poison
    Rockafeller Skank……….Fatboy Slim
    John Denver……………..Annie’s song
    Manic Street Preachers…..Design for life
    Matt Munro………………On days like these
Tom Petty………………..A face in the crowd

I realise I have now shown my soft underbelly, be gentle...

No comments but forty odd people have viewed "the list" LOL.

You may blame this thread on a bottle of port, not quite the vintage flopsy enjoys but a very quaffable Taylors 2001 vintage that went down rather well

Hey .. not ignoring it. Just don't know many of these.
But "Always on my Mind" belongs to Elvis, always and forever.
"Can you Feel it" .. I've heard that one.
I once said I loved Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and got thrashed on a forum for that .. I realize now it's been parodied to death in the UK, and so is undone and demolished. Shame about that.

Have to disagree with the Elvis comment Marilyn. I too thought "Always on my mind" belonged to Elvis, until I heard Willy Nelson sing it.

PS, the reason Jimmy Nail is on the list is because that particular track is the best dance track of all time, in my humble

My MP3 player mainly has foreign music... including the most played songs...

According to the playlist, my favourite is this song.

I was going to suggest reopening B-Cs "Greatest Song Ever" mega thread instead. My musical faves change daily so could never write a proper list...

Tbh Ron I'm not sure my musical tastes change much, of course I hear new things all the time, some I like some I'm not so keen on but in the end I always come back to Pink Floyd, it's a comfort thing lol. Dark side of the moon is a timeless masterpiece that I have never tired of. Not exactly a party album I grant you, I like to listen to it when I'm on my own (due the wife not liking it lol) Lights down low, slobbing on the sofa with bottle of JD and Pink Floyd...love it

    Like your list RR.

I would add Santana to mine and mine would be very long and include Fleetwood Mac.

Thanks Silfur, ah yes how could I neglect to include the great Carlos Santana, the origional list has been amended accordingly

I used to be keen on Fleetwood Mac, still got the albums but I haven't played them in years!
