Exit Poll projection: Liberal 'Democrats' to lose seats in Spring 2010 Election
The europhile Liberal 'Democrats' might lose seats in the Spring 2010 General Election according to a projection after an Exit Poll was broadcast on ITV 1 at 10 pm.
The Exit Poll result gives the Liberal 'Democrats' 59 seats - less than they have now. Let us hope that they do lose seats in today's General Election.

Vernon Bogdanor said on BBC 1 at 11.05 pm tonight after the first result of the Spring 2010 General Election campaign was announced at Houghton and Sunderland South "It is only one result - but the Liberal 'Democrats' might be doing less well than in 2005 and they will be very disappointed."
It was announced on BBC 1 at 11.10 pm tonight by David Dimbleby that the Exit Poll had been revised putting the Conservatives on 305 seats; Labour on 255 seats and the Liberal 'Democrats' on 61 (less seats than the Liberal 'Democrats' have now).
