Like the title of this message says, I'm thinking if joining the Green Party. I did an online quiz for fun the other day, where it lists all of the political party policies in the UK, and you select which one you prefer without knowing to which party they belong.
Apparently, I'm around 70% Green and 30% Liberal Democrat/Labour. (I know it would be silly to base your political alignment on an online quiz, of course, I just thought it was interesting, as I had always been tempted to join the Green Party and very much respect Caroline Lucas.)
But even while I agree with the main policies of the Green Party, it's one of its smaller policies which is giving me a problem in fully committing to the Party. It's the policy which says they are against animal testing.
Even though I'm a vegetarian, I fully support animal testing for medical research. Are there any GP members here who have a similar belief, yet are still members? And how did you reconcile this?
